Since 2013, the Taproot Foundation and BMW Foundation have convened the leaders of the pro bono movement to share challenges and best practices among peers. The summit format and location change each year to accommodate the varied needs of attendees.

GLOBAL | Berlin, Germany, February 2015

This year, the Global Pro Bono Summit was held in Berlin and drew CSR and pro bono movement leaders from 23 countries. The Summit challenged pro bono movement leaders to identify ways to increase their impact and hold each other accountable to delivering and facilitating pro bono work that drives social change.

Participants included Global Fellows who are pro bono providers ("intermediaries") belonging to the Global Pro Bono Network and corporate leaders in pro bono programing. Each participant came to collaborate, to share best practices and learnings, and to create strategies to provide more high-quality and high-impact pro bono service. Ideas and topics that surfaced during the course of three days were transformed into actionable commitments for the coming year.  Read more

The US Summit convenes two distinct groups of leaders in the pro bono movement: Corporate practitioners of pro bono programs and pro bono providers ("intermediaries"). Corporate practitioners of pro bono programs meet to share best practices and advances in the field. Topics include innovations in corporate programs, discussions about key challenges, and overall trends. The second group is comprised of pro bono providers ("intermediaries") who also come together to align around best practices and priorities for the field. The US Summit will build on relevant insights from the Global Pro Bono Summit held earlier in the year. Read more
